DSA

The Direct School Admission (DSA) scheme allows Primary 6 students to apply for admission to Cedar Girls’ Secondary School based on their talents and achievements in specific domains, beyond their performance at the PSLE. This pathway enables students with strengths in selected areas to join a school that can support and develop their potential.

Students interested in joining Cedar through DSA should apply during the national application window, indicating their chosen talent area. Those not applying via DSA will enter the Secondary 1 Posting Exercise, where admission is based on PSLE results.

Successful DSA applicants will be directly admitted to Cedar Girls’ and will not take part in the Secondary 1 Posting Exercise. They are expected to honour their commitment to the school and talent area through to the end of their four-year programme.

Students admitted through DSA in talent areas such as Sports, Performing Arts, or Social Innovatiom are expected to actively participate and contribute in their respective CCAs or talent development programmes throughout their time at Cedar.

We encourage students and parents to consider their DSA choices carefully, keeping in mind the student’s interests, strengths, and long-term goals. At Cedar, we are committed to nurturing talent through a supportive environment, rigorous academic standards, and rich co-curricular experiences.
